An organised, detail-orientated and conscientious self-starer with 11 years experience working as an Artworker. Able to adapt to changing priorities in fast-paced multitasking environments while staying calm under pressure, constant attention to detail and a creative eye whilst always striving to produce the highest standard artwork. This role required me to manage a busy studio while also being hands on and fulfilling the role of mac op in addition to my management duties. 

  • Provide support and management to the studio team

  • Managing projects from initial idea to final completion

  • Liaising with account managers to understand project needs and budget

  • Assessing briefs and assigning suitable mac op to a project

  • Organising freelancer support when required

  • Creating and implementing weekly deadlines, expectations
    and workflows to ensure a smooth production process with
    on-time delivery

 

Freelance Mac Op

2014 – 2018

Four years spent freelancing in London and Auckland. Within this time I had multiple long term placements, as well as clients who would regularly call on me when they required freelance support.

The White Company

2014 / Mac Op

  • Produce artwork across various retail channels, principally for seasonal brochures as well as POS, eDM’s and web banners

  • Liaising with other departments within the company, this included Buying, Merchandising and QA

  • Quality checking work for errors, spell check, correction and
    formatting documents

  • Working to tight deadlines across multiple projects

  • Liaising with external suppliers such as printers, via email
    and face-to-face

  • Attend weekly briefings with Production Manager 

 

This was a new role within the company which was aimed
at providing support to the Graphic Designers. 

  • Sole mac op assisting 3 designers, working alongside
    them on their designs from conception to final sign-off

  • Liaising with external printers and suppliers, acting
    as the main point of contact

  • Majority of work involved collateral for events, including keynote presentations, printed programmes, vinyl decals and give-away items such as drink bottles, wristbands and t-shirts

  • Working to short deadlines and fast turnaround times

2012 – 2014 / Mac Op

 

In the beginning I spent time working alongside Graphic Designers and Mac Operators as a way of learning on the job. As a quick learner I was soon working on my own client briefs and fast became a valued member of the team. 

  • 50/50 split between Mac Op and Designer

  • Worked across various outputs including mailers, POS, brochures, adverts and packaging

  • Liaised directly with clients to ensure their brief was met
    and delivered on time
